Guess I won't be bragging about writing accomplishment for this year's challenge. I feel sad over it, but I have regrets because it's also one of the happiest days of my life (more about it later.)
Although I've decided to push through with NaNoWriMo on November 1, there's a time when one must raise their hand in surrender, doesn't matter how stubborn they want to be.
And I was very close on giving up NaNoWriMo this November, but I'm glad I persisted even if I only manage to write a few hundred words now and then. Yes, I didn't win again this year, but I somehow it felt like I did.
Remember the special person I mentioned on November 1? Well, he arrived earlier than expected and not the way we expected. I'm talking about my first child, born just three days after NaNoWriMo started.
It’s November! And anyone who is into it knows what that means. It’s the popular Novel Writing month!
NaNoWriMo’s tagline this year makes me want to write a sci-fi once again, but the only Sci-fi story I have in mind is impossible right now. That's because an important person that we have been waiting for so long is coming to be with us very soon (sorry, but I want to keep the details and his identity a mystery for now). And due to that, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish a 50k novel in just 30 days. I have so much preparation to do before and after his arrival.
And those who knows my circumstances, friends (both online and offline) and my family are cheering me for tackling this beautiful handicap. Yes, this November will be a true challenge, but I’ll face it head on because when I win it...
I’ll be bragging about the rest of the years. :D
And to make sure that I’ll have something to brag about, I'll be writing two short stories and one novella this November 2016
1. #Heistclub: The Flame Squad 2: Shadow Prince (10k) - Crime, Romance
2. Just a Dream (5k) - Fantasy, Romance, Short Story
3. Summer Child: Natsuko (35K)- YA Contemporary, Romance, Crime
That’s 50k in total so even if I’m not lucky enough to finish all the stories and win; I’m sure I’m bound to finish at least the first story. That’s still an achievement, right?
So are you doing writing for this too? Add me as one of your writing buddies, and I’ll do the same. I find this event so fun the year will now feel incomplete if I don’t participate.
Now please excuse me, I’ll go grab my “NaNo Rebel” badge before facing one of my Chapter 1 ^_^

This is where I talk about the challenges I’m facing as a writer. I will be sharing book excerpts, giveaways, personal events and well, anything about my writing.
